Important Information

Below are the booking conditions under which we operate. Please be sure to get your own travel insurance. If you pay for your flights by credit card they should be insured under your credit agreement.

Please telephone or email us to check availability on your chosen trip. We do not levy a booking fee but to secure a reservation a deposit of 50% of the published trip price is required for each person travelling 60 days (90 for Morocco) before departure. The full balance is due 30 days (45 for Morocco) before departure (ie. the total trip cost). If we do not receive all payments due in full and on time we are entitled to assume that you wish to cancel your booking. In this case we will be entitled to keep all deposits paid or payments due at that date.

We aim to provide your holiday as booked. But if, for example, there are not enough people booked on your holiday or you do not pay the balance of the holiday price on time, we may cancel it. We reserve the right to cancel your holiday in any circumstances but if we cancel your holiday, except where this is because you have not paid, you can either have a refund or accept a replacement holiday from us of equivalent or similar standard and price.

If you cancel your booking

You, or any member of your party, may cancel your tour at any time providing that the cancellation is in writing. Notice of cancellation will be effective upon receipt of your written communication. As we start to incur costs from the time the contract is confirmed we will retain your deposit, but no other administration charges will be levied. Where written notification of the cancellation is received:

  • between 30 and 60 days before departure (between 45 and 90 days for Morocco): 50% of the holiday cost

  • 30 days or less before departure (45 days or less for Morocco) or failure to join the holiday: 100% of the holiday cost

If we alter or cancel your booking

We start planning the holidays we offer long in advance. Occasionally, we have to update information in our brochures and other publications both before and after booking have been confirmed. Whilst we always endeavour to avoid changes and cancellations, we must reserve the right to do so.

Compensation will not be payable if we are forced to cancel, or in any way change your tour for reasons of consolidation due to minimum numbers not being attained, force majeure/events beyond our control. Operation of all tours is dependent on a minimum number of persons booking the tour. If that number is not achieved, we reserve the right to cancel the tour.

In no circumstances will we cancel your tour less than 4 weeks before the scheduled departure date except for reasons of late cancellations from other passengers on your departure, force majeure (as defined below) or failure on your part to pay the final balance. We strongly recommend that you make no travel arrangements to your point of departure, make any connecting travel that is non-refundable or non-changeable or incurs penalties or incur any costs in respect of visas or vaccinations until such time as your travel itinerary has been confirmed. If you make such arrangements which you are then unable to use due to a change in your itinerary we shall not be liable to you for the cost of those arrangements (personal travel insurance is a must to cover for these events).

If we are forced to cancel your holiday after departure we will, wherever possible, make suitable alternative arrangements. If we are unable to make such alternative arrangements, or you reject these for good reason then we will return you to your point of departure.

When you have been advised of the alteration prior to departure, and elect to continue with the trip, this will be deemed to be acceptance of the change(s).

We may remove or make changes to the products, information, content, materials, tools and features on this Website at any time without liability and without notice to you.

Important Note:

Force Majeure/Events Beyond Our Control
Events beyond our control include: war, threat of war, riots, civil disturbances, terrorist activity and its consequences, industrial disputes, natural and nuclear disasters, fire, epidemics, health risks and pandemics, unavoidable and unforeseeable technical problems with transport for reasons beyond our control or that of our suppliers; closed or congested airports or ports, hurricanes and other actual or potential severe weather conditions, and any other similar events.

Law & Jurisdiction

If you booked your holiday in any jurisdiction (including any booking via the Internet), this contract, and any other claim or dispute arising from or related to this contract, will be governed by English law and the courts of England.

Trip Notes
If we issue detailed trip notes for your booking these trip notes and all the information contained therein will be deemed to be part of the contract. Trip notes available from our website, by email or by post. They contain up-to-date definitive information about the itinerary and travel arrangements. Should there be a discrepancy between the information in the brochure or website and the trip notes, the information in the trip notes supersedes that in the brochure or on the website and will be considered the most up-to-date and accurate.

Our price promise

Being a small UK based company we require payment in Sterling. We, in turn, have to pay our suppliers in US Dollars or Euros. We are willing to absorb 'normal' FX fluctuations but, as with most Travel Companies, reserve the right to adjust Trip Price if/when Sterling devalues against said currencies by 2% or more over a period of 6 months or less. Such adjustments will be to a maximum of 10% for every 6 months period. The advertised Trip Price is therefore indicative and will be fixed 2 months prior to departure (any applicable Trip Price 'discount' for groups of 10 or more participants will also be confirmed then). Trip Price payments are due in 2 equal tranches due 2 months & 1 month before departure (In the case of Morocco 90 days and 45 days). Said payments are non refundable.

We guarantee that once Trip Price is confirmed (2 months before departure) no further adjustments will be made.

Details of insurance

It is a condition of your booking with us that you and all other members of your party are adequately insured on holiday.

Valid travel insurance is mandatory for all clients while on one of our tours. You are strongly advised to insure yourself against possible risks that may occur and in particular to ensure that you have sufficient pre-departure cancellation cover which includes dependent relatives upon whom your trip may depend. You should make sure your insurance includes escorted/led travel, as this is specific to the type of holiday we offer. You are required to carry proof of insurance with you and produce it if requested by company employees or suppliers.

You are responsible for ensuring that you are in possession of a valid travel insurance for the entire duration of your trip in respect of medical expenses, medical emergency repatriation (including helicopter and air ambulance) and death. You must ensure that there are no exclusion clauses which limit cover for the type of activities included in your tour, such as, but not limited to, trekking at altitude, as we will not be responsible for costs you may incur as a result of not having valid or adequate travel insurance. It is the responsibility of all our clients to declare any material facts including known medical conditions to their insurers, as failure to do so may result in a claim being reduced or declined.

Personal Injury

We will not make any payment if your injury, illness or death was caused by an event or circumstances which the person who caused it could not have predicted or avoided even if they had taken all necessary and due care. We will not make any payment if your illness, injury or death was your own fault. If we do make a payment, it will be similar to one you would receive under English law in an English court.

Special Requests

We will consider special requests such as special dietary requests or, specific rooming requirements, when you book. We will tell you whether there is a charge for the request. We can only guarantee requests for which there is a charge, or those that are confirmed in writing.

Participation requirements
All Clients are expected to satisfy themselves prior to booking that they are fit and able to complete the itinerary of their chosen holiday as described in the brochure. No unaccompanied minors (those under 18 years of age) can be accepted however older teenagers (those aged 14 and over) may be allowed to join certain group tours provided they are accompanied by a parent or guardian who accepts full responsibility for them.

Anyone suffering from mobility impairment, illness or disability or undergoing treatment for any physical or medical condition must declare the true nature of such condition at the time of booking and make arrangements for the provision of any medication or other treatment which may be required during the holiday. Failure to make such disclosure will constitute a breach of these booking conditions and may result in such persons being excluded from the holiday in which case all monies paid will be forfeit. If you are affected by any condition, medical or otherwise, that might affect your or other people’s enjoyment of the holiday, you must advise us of this at the time of booking.

Visa, Health, Passport, Travel documentation

Whilst we are able to provide basic information to clients regarding passports and visa requirements, you should check with the appropriate Embassy, Consulate or British Foreign Office for the exact requirements for your chosen tour and date of travel. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the correct passport and visas to gain access to any country/region included in the travel arrangements which you purchase from us. If you fail to do so, we have no liability to you for any cost, loss or damage which you suffer, nor will we refund you the cost of any unused portion of your travel arrangements. In some cases, countries will refuse entry to clients who have criminal records. Should you be concerned about this, please check with the embassy or consulate of the countries to which you are travelling. The lead name is entirely responsible for ensuring that all members of the group have the correct and valid documentation for travel. We cannot accept responsibility for any failure to comply resulting in any costs or fines being incurred and we advise you to check with your passport office or the consulate in question if you have any queries. Clients travelling overland to certain destinations may need to also pass through controls of other countries en-route so this should be allowed for with any passport/visa applications.

We are able to give basic information on mandatory health requirements; however, we are not medical experts. It is your responsibility to ensure that you obtain proper and detailed medical advice at least two months prior to travel for the latest health requirements, recommendations for your destination and any costs. Where you do not do so and either are not allowed to enter any country, or suffer personal injury or death as a result, we have no liability to you for any cost, loss or damage which you suffer nor will we refund you the cost of any unused portion of your travel arrangements. Clients with existing medical problems, pregnant women and anyone who has recently visited other countries should check requirements with their general practitioner.

When assessing whether tours will operate with the advice from the British Foreign Office and other relevant government bodies. It is your responsibility to acquaint yourself with the travel advice provided by these government bodies.

It is your responsibility to tell us before you book of any disability or medical condition which may affect your holiday arrangements and any resulting special needs. All such information must be confirmed in writing before or at the time of booking. A reasonable level of fitness is required for our holidays and excursions as some walking can be involved. If you are in any doubt about the suitability of any of our holidays please just ask.

Leader Authority & behaviour

On an active group holiday it is necessary that you abide by the authority of the leader, who represents the company. If you commit any illegal act when on the holiday or if in the reasonable opinion of the leader your behaviour is disruptive, threatening or abusive or is causing or likely to cause danger, distress or annoyance to others we may terminate your travel arrangements without any liability on our part. If the Captain of your flight or ferry or our overseas staff believe that you could be disruptive, they can also refuse to let you proceed with your travel arrangements. If this means you are not allowed to board the flight outbound from the UK, we will treat your booking as cancelled by you from that moment, and you will have to pay full cancellation charges. If this occurs overseas then you will become responsible for your own return home and any other members of your group who cannot or will not travel without you. In any of these circumstances no refunds or compensation will be paid to you and we may make a claim against you for any costs and expenses incurred as a result of your behaviour e.g. the cost of diverting an aircraft or ferry to remove you. Criminal proceedings may also be instigated.

The accommodation we arrange for you must only be used by those people named on your Confirmation Invoice (or on any Amendment Invoice issued). You are not allowed to share the accommodation or let anyone else stay there. You are responsible for the cost of any damage caused to your accommodation or its contents during your stay, except damage caused by persons not known to you. These charges must be met by you and may have to be paid locally.

Photography & Testimonial
Any likeness or image of you secured or taken on any of our holidays may be used by the Company without charge in all media (whether now existing or in the future invented) for bona fide promotional or marketing purposes, including without limitation promotional materials of any kind such as brochures, slides, video shows or the internet. Any written feedback supplied to the company may also be used for promotional purposes as detailed above.
